YROC Coastal Bar & Grill: A Taste of Waterfront Dining Experience in Gloucester Point

YROC definitely has the atmosphere and chill vibes, but the food is ok. I have to say the beef tacos tasted like mom's pot roast on a tortilla instead of tender brisket chunks, which was a little disappointing. The po boys seemed to have the same sauce as the Bang Bang shrimp, which is delicious but made it a little less exciting to eat. That's why I asked for my shrimp po boy naked and requested garlic aioli instead. I am not saying the food is bad at all, just slightly repetitive and not super tasty on some dishes.

Tucked back behind the houses, is this cute restaurant. Two bars one in and out. At the upstairs bar was Nicole, super nice and attentive. As I sat enjoying the shrimp and scenery. A large bait ball and two large rays swam by.

Awesome food and atmosphere, slow but acceptable service, very busy on a Saturday. Good Morning Vietnam cocktail was a unique and savory experience! False Idol great as well, they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol, a strong and very enjoyable drink with rum offset by passion fruit puree, pineapple juice, and margarita mix. Smoked gouda crab dip and mac 'n' cheese egg roll apps were both outstanding, love the paprika on the egg rolls, and the accompanying chipotle buttermilk ranch! Signature salad with shrimp very good, and summer salad another winner, especially the tajin on the watermelon! Short rib grilled cheese and Bangin' shrimp tacos was great as well, especially flavorful huli huli au jus and banging sauces. Creamsicle crush and peanut butter creme brûlée were both great, exactly as advertised, perfect and refreshing.

First time here after living in the area for awhile, I regret not coming sooner. Best calamari around! And happy hour is awesome to get some crushes with a good atmosphere!

Down visiting from NJ, my wife and I love sampling the local flavor. Found YROC on a google search for water-side dining. Incredible food, huge beers, great atmosphere. Service was average, but I think it was just our server. The others were running around getting orders out quickly. Overall I highly recommend the visit.

We came for an early dinner on a Friday and it was already very crowded. The wait to sit outside was 1 hour, but we were able to be seated indoors with no wait. The sound quality isn't great indoors, making it rather loud and hard to hear conversations. The food was good and our waitress was wonderful.

My wife and I were looking for a great local place to get some good food for lunch. A local seafood merchant suggested YROC. Let me tell you that we were not disappointed! The service was excellent. The scenery was fantastic as well. And the food was everything we expected and more! We ordered the Thaí Chili calamari, she crab soup, & the Oyster Po' boy with fries. It was a little difficult to find but it is very well worth it if you are looking for a great meal.
